Photogrammetry and LiDAR analysis at Airbus

Designed a computer vision solution using LiDAR and photogrammetry data to assist aircraft fuselage inspection.

Built a predictive analytics prototype to forecast short-term medical inflation using structured insurance and healthcare data.

Telomerase prediction at Barnacle Labs

Developed machine learning models for biomedical research, using histopathology images and molecular data to support patient stratification in cancer.

Crack Density Estimation

Developed a novel wave-based methodology to estimate material damage by analysing shifts in resonant frequencies. This approach is particularly adapted to dense aggregates of small defects or inclusions, such as cracks, where the collective scattering response provides information about the internal damage level.

Poroelastic Crack Detection

Worked on computational methods for detecting cracks in poroelastic media, with applications to subsurface monitoring and hydraulic fracturing. The project involved adapting finite-element methods to solve Biot’s equations and model how waves scatter from cracks in fluid-saturated materials.

PhD Research

Developed mathematical and computational methods for imaging highly heterogeneous materials using scattered waves. My PhD combined inverse problems, wave propagation, asymptotic modelling, and numerical simulation to design imaging techniques capable of probing complex media with resonant or strongly scattering structures.

Waves in Complex Materials

Effective Cylinder

Derivation of the scattering properties of clusters of small cylinders. Applications include designing cylinders with exotic effective properties or developing methods to measure the cylindrical particles (cables filled with wires, fibre-reinforced composite, etc.)

Particulate Materials

We considered particles confined to a half-space and computed the effective reflection and transmission coefficients at the interface. This study enables the design of particulate materials with tailored scattering properties.

Cloaking with Resonators - DSTL

Developed a proof of concept in collaboration with the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, investigating resonant material layers for wave control and stealth-related applications. The project combined mathematical modelling, numerical simulation, and physical insight into wave scattering in complex media.
